Sam was born in Napier and raised on a sheep and beef farm near Puketitiri. Coming from a remote part of Hawke’s Bay, Sam is a keen hunter, fisherman and tramper.  Sam spent University holidays working for Surveying the Bay and joined the team in 2014 as a graduate.

Sam graduated from Otago University at the end of 2013 with a Bachelor of Surveying Degree. He is now a qualified Licensed Cadastral Surveyor.
