Andrew TaylorDirector

Andrew grew up on a dairy farm south of Dunedin and always wanted to work with the land. Seeking a career which would balance indoor and outdoor work, Andrew studied Surveying at the nearby Otago University. On completion of University, Andrew worked in Dunedin for almost ten years before moving north to Hawke’s Bay in 1998.

Through his work Andrew has developed interests in land law, Resource Management Planning, sustainable development, Maori land and urban design. These, combined with an overarching respect for the land, assist Andrew to carry out his roles of project scoping, subdivision design, resource consent works and client, consultant, Council and Iwi liaison.

Andrew now spends little of his work time outside but gets the occasional fresh air fix through site planning and project scoping. Rugby, hunting and fishing have been replaced by growing native trees and walking the hills, rivers and beaches with his kids while away from work.
