FARMER
At Surveying The Bay, we think getting out on the land is the best part of the job. We understand your needs – some of us even grew up on Hawke’s Bay farms.
Our services include:
Rural and Lifestyle Subdivision
Whether you are buying some of the neighbour’s land, or selling the back block that was always a headache, we can make it as easy as possible.
In tough times, some farmers need to free up equity and one way is by selling lifestyle sites – an easier process than you might imagine. Often the site is sold to family or through local contacts before the survey is even complete. This means little risk – and keeps the bank off your back. Click here for more information.
Easements
Sometimes farmers have informal arrangements for access or water and power supplies, but what if one farm is sold? We define easements so everyone’s rights are legally protected. Click here for more information.
Boundary Definitions
Are you sure that fence is on the boundary, or that track or woodlot is on your property? Do you really know where that “paper road” is located? We can sort out these issues, and the cost may even be shared with your neighbour (if he’s a good bloke).
Conservation Covenants
Protecting that stand of native trees at the back of the farm through an open space covenant can preserve important habitats forever – and save you money, with some local authorities assessing these areas as non-rateable. There may be funding available to help with fencing costs, and the QEII National Trust usually covers the cost of the survey. Click here for more information.
Forestry Surveys
It is important farmers understand what the Emissions Trading Scheme means for them. If you have an existing woodlot you need to contact us now, as there are deadlines in 2011. Surveys are required to show the extent of forestry rights if you are selling them to forestry companies. Click here for more information.
Farm Mapping
Do you have an accurate, easy to read farm map showing all buildings, buried pipelines, paddock areas and other key features? We can provide maps using aerial photos or other data – and it will probably cost less than you think.
