Surveying The Bay commenced its Hastings business in October 2004 with the three founding Directors - Andrew Taylor, Guy Panckhurst and Peter Taunton. Warren Gunn joined the Company as a Director in 2008.

The Napier office was established in February 2010 after the purchase of Peter Smidt Surveyors Ltd, a long established Napier surveying firm. Peter Smidt continues to provide land development consultancy advice to Surveying The Bay in the Napier office.

The company is proud to be 100% Hawke’s Bay owned.
